Alec Pearson and our team were discussing how he would be the voice behind our conservation efforts a month before he tragically passed away in a diving accident at 27 years old. We met at the University of Florida and he would end up attending UF Law and shortly thereafter set his focus on preserving the Old Florida way of life we enjoy. His goals for combatting mismanagement & pressure by advocating for ecosystem restoration, full freezers, & tight lines continue to inspire us as we work towards ways to give back to the coastal areas we love.
